An article about the trial of the Hon James Murray last week said that his family home, Scone Palace, had housed the Stone of Scone which was used for the coronation of Robert The Bruce. While Robert The Bruce was indeed crowned there in 1306, the stone had in fact been taken to Westminster Abbey ten years before by Edward I.
[I think I’ve found the right article. It still mentions the Stone of Scone, but there is no mention of Robert the Bruce. There’s no indication that a correction has taken place.]
